Transforming Neurosurgery in Nepal

Transforming Nepal's neurosurgery ecosystem through partnership, training, and exchange

About VTC Nepal Neurosurgery

VTC Nepal Neurosurgery was founded with the singular vision of empowering the Nepali neurosurgery community with capacity building training, improved equipment, and greater access to world class care for all of Nepal, regardless of financial abilities.  VTCNN, through established and evolving partnerships, seeks to transform the neurosurgery capacity of Nepal and build lasting cooperation between neurosurgeons in Nepal and the United States, serving as a model for other similar environments to grow their capacities.

“There are almost 30 million Nepali people, but only a handful of neurosurgeons. They are concentrated in the large urban centers and need access to sub-specialty care and sub-specialty training. That is something we can provide for them.”

-Dr Mark Witcher, Founder - VTCNN
